BT XD56 Twin Cordless Phones With Answering Machine & Nuisance Call Blocker

BT XD56 Twin Cordless Phones With Answering Machine

The BT XD56 Twin Cordless Phone Set is a practical DECT home telephone system designed for everyday landline communication. With two cordless handsets, the DUO/Twin configuration allows you to keep a handset in different rooms or locations around your home.

The BT XD56 combines cordless calling with an integrated digital answering machine and nuisance-call blocking, making it a useful option for customers looking for a straightforward home phone with additional call-management features.

Twin / Duo Handset System

Your listing is for the Twin/Duo configuration, providing two BT XD56 cordless handsets.

This makes the set convenient for larger homes, offices or households where you want to be able to answer or make calls from more than one location.

BT officially confirms that the XD56 was available in single, twin and trio packs, so the XD56 model itself remains the same while the number of handsets varies according to the package.

Built-In Digital Answering Machine

The BT XD56 features an integrated digital answering machine with up to 30 minutes of recording time. This allows callers to leave messages when you are unavailable.

The answering machine can be accessed and controlled through the phone system, making it practical for everyday home use.

Nuisance Call Blocking

The XD56 includes a nuisance-call blocking function designed to help reduce unwanted calls.

It can block up to 20 individual numbers and can also block selected types of calls. This is particularly useful for customers who receive unwanted or nuisance calls on their landline.

Clear Amber-Backlit Display

The handset features a 1.6-inch, 2-line dot-matrix display with amber backlighting. The display shows useful information such as caller details, telephone numbers and call duration.

50-Contact Phonebook

The BT XD56 can store up to 50 contacts, allowing frequently used names and numbers to be saved directly to the telephone.

With the Twin configuration, contacts can also be shared between registered handsets.

Caller Display

The phone supports Caller Display, allowing incoming caller information to appear on the handset when the appropriate service is enabled by the telephone network provider.

Please note that Caller Display availability depends on the customer's telephone service, and the provider may charge for the service.

DECT Cordless Technology

The XD56 is a DECT cordless telephone, providing wireless communication between the handsets and base stations.

BT specifies a range of up to 50 metres indoors and up to 300 metres outdoors, although actual range depends on walls, building construction, interference and the placement of the base.

Battery Performance

The handset uses 2 × AAA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries. BT specifies up to approximately 10 hours of talk time and 100 hours of standby time under ideal conditions.

The BT XD56 also provides useful everyday telephone functions including:

• Caller Display
• Call Waiting
• Call History
• Call Timer
• Redial
• Secrecy/Mute
